So, like I promised a few minutes ago, I will now give you guys my first impressions on Miraculous Ladybug.
Its a french- Japanese-Korean animated TV show that made its debut in the US a few days ago on Nickelodeon. The series focuses on two french teenagers:
The first Marinette, a sweet and quirky girl who lives with her chinese mother and french father and Adrien, a good looking, and timid guy who Marinette admires.
However both of our protagonists have a secret: when paris is under a treat, They both take on the personas of Ladybug and Chat Noir.

The first episode that aired (which is apparently the second in the French and Korean Airings), "the bubbler" was a very solid start to the series. We get introduced to some of the conflicts our protagonists are going through in their everyday lives (especially Adrien) and slight foreshadowing that this series will eventually become more than just "villian of the week". The villian himself was very well constructed for the time they were given and I'm very curious to know about the mastermind who sent him.

Now let's talk about the characters.Even despite the fact that I don't know much about the protagonists I still thought the show did a solid way of establishing them. Marinette/ Ladybug was very likable and good natured but not to the point of mary-sueness. She was quick thinking, smart and definitely knew how to kick ass. However, with the exception of her mixed herritage and her crush on Adrien, there still isn't a lot I know about her and hence, I can't necessarily say she's well built quite yet.  The same goes for Adrien just that the lack of knowledge is more about Chat. He's far from a perfect crush (which is good) and we know he has his conflicts But I really wanted to see more chat noir. I've heard that he's quite the fan favorite and I want to know more why.
But even with this lack of knowledge, I still enjoyed seeing some of the dynamics between our two heroes. no one felt inferior to one another and they were both cool in their own ways. I especially like the fact that when their superheroes, Chat seems to show more affection to ladybug. It was very funny to see that and It's great that Chat knew when to stop.
I can't say much about the supporting characters either. I want to see more of them by they have a solid base to work from.

When it comes to production I must say that this is definitely one of the best looking CGI shows I've seen. The characters are well designed and diverse and I'm a sucker for anything paris so its aesthetics definitely appealed to me, even where there wasn't much focus of the city's landmarks. The action was also great with solid timing and pacing and lots of creativity. definitely one of the best parts of the show.
The dub itself was also very good. However it had its issues with scripting with Alya's constant "girl"-ing and Nino's voice actor and script being a little try hard. On the other hand, Christina Vee's portrayal of Ladybug is SPOT ON and I was very nervous Bryce papenbrook would be his usual (which isn't that great) but he managed to be really soild.

So overall, I think that Miraculous ladybug is off to a good start. The main characters are likable, it looks amazing and its much more clever than meets the eye. Its not the greatest thing ever but Its still really good. I highly reccomend it if you like Magical girl esque series like Star vs The Forces of Evil or just looking for a good action show. It may be too feminine for some viewers but you know what, I think its important to know to try different types of shows that appeal more to different  demographics as well as non-american cartoons (and no, Canada doesn't count).

I hope I convinced you to give the show a try. I'll definately be writing more about the show in the future and probably draw more fanart!

Personally I don't like the show, but I'm okay with those who like it(As long as they don't bash on me for not liking it) and I have seen some nice art of it.
